AutoSisInstaller Beta is a freeware application that allows you to easily reinstall all your software, programs, applications and games automatically after you format/hard reset your Nokia S60 mobile phone or upgrade the firmware on it.

You just need to create a folder on your storage card called ThinkChange and put all the SISX/JAR installer files in it. Then click StartInstall from the Menu option which will start installing all the files in that folder. Finally a summary pane is displayed indicating sucess and failure.

Another cool use of AutoSisInstaller is that you can share your favorite software with your friends. After installing AutoSisInstaller to the memory card, just plug it into your friend’s mobile device. All applications in the folder will be automatically installed to your friend’s device.

PowerTimer is a freeware Python based application for Nokia S60 3rd Edition mobile devices that allows you to schedule a shutdown or restart of your mobile device at a specified date and time. 

To use PowerTimer, launch the application. From the Menu, choose the shutdown or restart option, then enter the date and time when you want the phone to shutdown or reboot. You can even choose to set a timer so that the mobile phone turns off or restarts after “X” number of minutes. The program can be set to run in the background. So if you want to cancel the countdown timer, simply bring the application to the foreground and exit from it.

Nokia Audio Themes are sound themes for supported Nokia S60 devices that allows you to personalize the user interface sounds of your phone. Audio themes are offered in packages which contain several sound files of a common theme.

The packages contain usually the normal profile sounds (e.g. ringing tones, message alerts, clock alert, calendar alarm) but also sounds for phone handling (e.g. fold open, fold close) and menu events (enter menu, leave menu).

Currently, the only Nokia S60 models that support Audio Themes include Nokia N78, N85, and 5700 XpressMusic. Installing the themes is just a matter of double-clicking the SIS files and installing the theme package. The size of each sound theme varies from 400 Kb to 1 MB.

Yahoo! has announced that oneSearch with voice search is now integrated into a shortcut on select Nokia Series 60 3rd Edition mobile devices.

The service lets consumers speak or type a search for anything:


- a website “the website name”
- movies near you “movie name location”
- stock quotes “stock name”
- local business “the business name and location”
- local weather “the city name ”

Other features include:

- Adapts to your voice
- Multi-modal input: Allows you to switch between speaking and typing

- Search Assist allows you to get suggestions for terms and phrases as you type

To use Yahoo! oneSearch using voice recognition, follow these steps:

1) Press and hold the phone’s talk button.
2) Wait for the audio beep.
3) Speak clearly in a normal, conversational voice.
4) Release the talk button.
5) The results from your search terms are displayed in a few seconds.

Yahoo! Voice Search is available only in US, UK, India, Singapore, Philippines and Canada.

Anti-Touch is a Python based freeware application for Nokia S60 3rd Edition that activates and triggers a loud audible alarm when someone moves the mobile phone, identified by the movement of Accelerometer in the smartphone. The alarm will only stop if the person enters the correct password that was entered during the initial setup of the program.

Usage instructions:

Open the application, then go to “Options” and “Settings” and enter a whole number in the option “Sensitivity”, between “0? and “9?. Within Settings, enter the password to be used to stop the Alarm. Finally click “Start” and place your smartphone in a resting position that you want with the application running in background. Now, if the phone is moved, a loud alarm is triggered and keeps ringing until the pre-determined password is entered. The alarm does not stop even if the Call End button is pressed.

Fennec (Mobile Firefox) has reached milestone 9 and this release is being called User Experience alpha. As with the previous releases, M9 is targeted at the Nokia N800/N810 (Maemo) Internet tablet.
